Warframe LFG (warframe.team) is a fan-made site for finding Warframe squads. It isn't affiliated with Digital Extremes. This page explains what we collect, who can see it, and how to remove it. Questions or requests: privacy@warframe.team.
What we collect
- Your sign-in account. When you sign in with email, Google, Apple, Discord or another provider, our sign-in service (Clerk) stores your email address and the account details that provider shares, such as your name and profile picture.
- Your profile. Username, in-game name (IGN), platform, cross-play setting, region, languages, Mastery Rank if you give it, and whether you've unlocked The Icebind and Profit-Taker. If you customize your profile, also your About me, main Warframes, playstyle tags, the activities you usually play, and the color, banner and title you pick. We keep your previous IGNs while your account exists, so moderators can follow name changes.
- Squad activity. Squads you host or join, the slot, Warframe and Cryobell you pick, ready checks, votes, squad chat messages, direct messages to other players, relic auto-match queue entries, and endorsements you give and receive.
- Safety records. Reports you send, reports about you or your content, players you block, and actions moderators take.
- Notifications. The squad alerts you save and, for each browser where you turn on notifications, the push address that browser gives us.
- IGN verification. To verify your IGN you send a private message on the Warframe forums to our bot account. The forums e-mail the bot a notification of it, with your forum name and the message. We keep your forum name and when you verified. The notification e-mail is deleted once it verifies you; ones that don't stay in the bot's mailbox until we clear it. Unused verification codes expire after 24 hours.
- Technical data. We count actions per account to rate-limit spam. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses. We measure page views, a few actions (such as hosting or joining a squad) and how fast pages load with Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which don't use cookies or track you across other sites. When something on the site breaks, an error report goes to Sentry: what failed, on which page, and the browser and operating system versions, without your IP address, cookies or anything you typed.
Who can see it
- Everyone can see open squads: your username, platform, region, the squad's details and notes, and the Warframes picked.
- Everyone can also see your public profile: username, platform, region, which activities you've unlocked, whether your IGN is verified (not the IGN itself), how many endorsements of each kind you've received, how many squads you've played, and what you add when you customize it. Your languages, Mastery Rank and when you joined show too, unless you hide them. Players you've blocked, or who blocked you, can't. Your squad history is only shown to you.
- Players in your squad can also see your IGN (so they can invite you in game) and the squad's chat. Nobody else sees your IGN, unless you choose to show it on your public profile.
- Moderators can see reports and the content that was reported.
- We don't give advertisers your account, profile or squad data. What ad partners collect on our pages is described under Advertising.
Advertising
Visitors who aren't signed in, and players whose subscription doesn't remove ads, see ads on the home page, the activity pages and the clan board. NitroPay and its advertising partners choose, show and measure them. To do that they use cookies and similar technologies and receive data from your browser, such as your IP address and the rough location it gives, device and browser details, and the page you're on. Depending on your choices and where you live, they may use it to show ads based on your interests, to measure ads and to prevent fraud.
- EU, EEA and UK. A consent message asks for your choices before ad partners use cookies or data that need your consent. Change them any time with the consent button at the bottom of the page.
- California. Letting ad partners collect this data may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information under California law. Opt out with the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link at the bottom of the page.
Services we use
Clerk (sign-in), Supabase (database and live updates), Vercel (hosting, analytics and speed measurements), Sentry (error reports), Better Stack (uptime checks and a copy of the server logs) and Upstash (rate limiting) process data for us to run the site. NitroPay and its advertising partners show ads (see Advertising). If you turn on notifications, your browser's push service (for example Google, Mozilla or Apple) delivers them; it receives the notification text. Live fissure and Cetus timers come from warframestat.us; we don't send it anything about you. IGN verification messages go through the Warframe forums, run by Digital Extremes, and the provider that hosts the bot's mailbox.
Cookies
We use the cookies Clerk needs to keep you signed in, and one that remembers the language you picked. If you see ads, NitroPay and its advertising partners also use cookies and similar technologies, as described under Advertising.
How long we keep it
Squads expire from the board on their own, but the squads, chat, direct messages and safety records stay stored until you delete your account or a moderator removes them. An internal log of squad changes is deleted after 3 days.
Your choices
- Change your profile any time under Profile, and customize it, or hide your languages, Mastery Rank and join date, under Customize profile.
- Delete your account under Profile. That removes your profile, IGN history, chat messages, direct messages, reports and blocks, takes you out of every squad, and closes your sign-in account.
- Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, or to object to how it's used. Email privacy@warframe.team and we'll reply within 30 days. Using these rights won't change how we treat you.
Children
Warframe LFG isn't meant for anyone under 13, or under the minimum age to agree to data processing where you live. If you think a child has signed up, let us know and we'll delete the account.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For bigger changes we'll also post a notice on the site.
